Table Scraps

“Table Scraps: Poems from Society’s Lunch Line” exploits poetry’s nonfiction loopholes and structural flexibility, combining the under-appreciated art of oversharing in grouptherapy and over-explaining in every area of life, with a sprinkle of dark wit and some uncomfortable honesty. Through this honest collection, the raw truth of the common experiences of the invisible and invalidated can finally have their moment at the front of the societal lunch line with their stories, no longer waiting politely for their stories to be heard from the back.
