Myths, Fables, and Philosophies

In Myths, Fables, and Philosophies, timeless legends collide with the fragile intimacies of human experience. Icarus dreams of New Jersey. Polyphemus rages at the injustice of history. Rapunzels braid becomes both relic and grief. Through reinvention and requiem, these poems journey from ancient seas to modern boardwalks, from fairy-tale thorns to the asphalt lots of vanished diners. Howd reimagines the stories we think we know, uncovering in them hunger, tenderness, and loss. Lyrical, inventive, and deeply human, this collection invites us to ask: what if the tales we inherit are not endings, but beginnings we must learn to tell anew?
