The original Basic Skills series was created by Peter Howard as an aid to ‘in home’ learning. There are over 100 books for children aged from 4 to 15. Each book covers a specific ‘basic skill’ or set of skills enabling students to ‘aim for excellence’. Peter Howard is an ex-primary school principal and author of many widely used school text books and teaching aids.
